Smashbox Smokebox Photo Op Eye Shadow Palette

Bottom Row - Roast, Black Currant, Seafoam

Smashbox Smokebox Photo Op Eye Shadow Palette is a palette with six colours in designed to create the perfect smokey eye. The colours range from neutral base shades to a deep black. 

Normally, my go to smokey eye colour is MAC's Club which is a gorgeous, unusual, multi tonal purple/green/grey (it's so unique!). But as a makeup lover and shopaholic, I thought I would try something different for a change with the Smokebox Eye Shadow Palette. 

I love Smashbox's eyeshadows as they're all very soft, blendable and extremely pigmented colours, enabling you to create a perfect look. On this occasion, I used Alabaster as an all over colour on my eye, Roast, a deep chocolate brown with shimmer on my lid, (this comes up very reddy/purply brown on my skin and the shimmer isn't noticeable) and then I used Black Current in the outer corner, blended into my lid. Underneath, I used the smaller end of the brush which comes with the Smokebox Palette and lined under my eye with Roast.

I think the colours I've used from the Smokebox give a lovely, soft smokey look, although by layering the colours or using Black Out, you could create a really intense smokey eye. I am not daring enough to go any darker than this! I also tried to keep the rest of my makeup quite minimal because I didn't want to look overly done-up. I finished off the look with two coats of Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara.
