If All My Makeup Disappeared Tag

I have seen and read this tag quite a few times now and have really been thinking hard about what items of makeup I would repurchase if all my makeup disappeared. The tag is based around the fact that if you lost all of your makeup, what products would you choose to repurchase.

It was hard for me to choose many products, because a lot of things I buy I like, but I just don't love them and they don't become a HG product in my makeup bag. I managed to choose eight products, but I was stuck when it came to eyeshadows and mascaras. I haven't found a HG mascara, I still purchase a different mascara each time and to me, there are no eyeshadows in my collection that blow me away. Yes, I very much like my Maybelline Colour Tattoos and a few colours from my MAC collection such as Club, Woodwinked and Nylon, but I think if I lost them, I would replace them with different colours as I love to switch and change.

Here are my choices:

If All My Makeup Disappeared Tag

Estee Lauder Maximum Cover in 04 Light is amazing and does what it says on the tube so I had to add this to my tag. It is a full coverage, and when I say full coverage, I mean it will cover red scars, possibly tattoos and any pigmentation. I use this mainly as a concealer and would never put it on my whole face as I'd look like I was wearing a mask. They've changed the packaging and colours of this now which is really disappointing, but seeing as I only use it as a concealer, I've hardly touched the tube; it will go off before I've managed to use it all.

When it comes to foundation, I am a bit of a foundation-a-holic! But I always return to Smashbox Studio Skin in a 1.2. This is my second bottle and every time I use it, I love it more and more! You can read my full review here. I still purchase other foundations, (as a foundation lover I have to!), just to see whether they're even better than Studio Skin, but I haven't found anything that competes with it.

Concealer wise, I love Biotherm Forget It Concealer, but it is now discontinued. I wish I had of known they were getting rid of it so I could purchase another tube. There are many other concealers in my collection, but this one was perfect - the consistency was amazing, it didn't sit in fine lines under my eyes, it gave a medium coverage and the colour matched my skin perfectly.

My go to powder is MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in light. It perfectly sets my makeup, removes any initial skin from my foundation and concealer and doesn't dry out my dehydrated skin.

When it comes to blush, it was so hard for me to choose one. I absolutely adore blushes and own around 10, mostly from MAC as I love their range of colours. I chose Foolish Me Sheertone Shimmer Blush from MAC which is quite a vivid, coral based pink with a gorgeous shimmer. I chose this colour because with spring around the corner, it's perfect. You can also apply it very lightly for a lovely coral shimmer, or build it up for a deeper and more intense look. You can see some more of my MAC blushes here.

Highlighter wise, again, I own quite a few different products and will be writing up a post over the next month outlining my collection. I've just bought No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter and love it. It's very creamy and gives a gorgeous, subtle glow. Sometimes, I find powder highlighters give too much of a glow and can look unnatural, which is why I have added this beautiful creamy highlighter to this tag. You can see this in my recent Boots haul.

As a blogger very much influenced by others, I recently picked up a Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Elusive which I am in love with (haul post here). I really did think as someone with dry lips, that I wouldn't be able to get away with a matte balm, but this is so nourishing on my lips and looks gorgeous. I can't wait to pick up more colours.

Lastly, my tag would not be complete without Smashbox Brow Tech To Go which is a slanted eyebrow pencil with a gel at the opposite end. This is very, very easy to apply (even my mum who doesn't particularly like make up can apply this with ease), it's quick and gives a natural finish. I already have a backup in my collection as it's hard to tell when this is going to finish.
