The Glow Getters

When it comes to my skin, I am always looking for products to make it glow, which is where this post comes in. Sometimes, my skin can look dull and flat and no matter how much I spend on skincare products, it just doesn't help to give my skin that much needed glow.

Five products that I currently own in my collection and use on a regular basis are; Prestige Fresh Glow Baked Mineral Blush in Natural; No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter; MAC Strobe Cream; Smashbox Soft Lights in Shimmer and Seventeen Skin WOW 3 Way Highlighter.

Prestige Fresh Glow Baked Mineral Blush in Natural is a baked mineralised blush or highlighter which leaves a gorgeous glow to your cheekbones. The pigmentation is immense and you only need a small amount dusted with a light hand. Boots no longer stock it which is a shame, so luckily I stocked up before they discontinued. It really does remind me of MAC's Soft and Gentle. You can still pick it up on Amazon for around £8.99.

No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter is a cream based formula which is very soft on the skin, adding a very light glow. You can read my full review here.

MAC Strobe Cream I find is better applied all over the skin like a primer, before foundation. It gives a delicate glow and boosts the skin very minimally. It also works well patted over foundation to give your skin more dimension. You can read my full review here.

Smashbox Soft Lights in Shimmer is another fairly intense powdered highlighter. I like this because it doesn't look as shiny on the skin as the Prestige Mineral version. I use this to highlight my cheekbone after I've applied my blush, or I swirl my brush into the Soft Lights and then into my blush to give an all over glow to my cheeks.

And lastly... Seventeen Skin WOW 3 Way Highlighter. This to me, is very much like a glowier and more intense version of the MAC Strobe Cream. The glow is very intense, so you have to be careful how much you use, whereas the Strobe Cream, you can apply a generous blob all over. I've used this as a primer all over my skin but it does look very dewy and glowy, so not recommended for people with oily skin. It also has a little bit of a shimmer to it, so can look unnatural if you use too much. It also looks gorgeous patted along the cheekbones or around the face which is my preferred way to use this. Otherwise, I like to buff a little bit into my skin after applying my foundation to add a little dew, especially when using Estee Lauder Double Wear.

Please let me know if you would like to see a full review on any of these products. I've already been asked for a full review on the Seventeen Skin WOW 3 Way Highlighter which is in the pipeline.

Don't forget as well, to follow me on Instagram as I am always very active uploading beauty related photos and beauty hauls.
