Superdrug Hydrating Vitamin E Moisture Face Mask

As a full time student, I am always on the lookout for cheap products that perform well and do what they say on the tin. After hearing about this Moisture Mask from Superdrug, I was really excited to give it a try to see whether it lived up to my gorgeous Origins 10 Minute Drink Up Mask. The Moisture Mask contains things like vitamin E to hydrate and nourish the skin and is designed for people with normal to dry skin.

The cream is very thick and a little goes a very long way. It's easy to spread the Moisture Mask around your face and get a good, even coverage. Smell wise, it has nothing on the Origins offerings. I really don't like the smell of this, but really can't put my finger on it.

After leaving the Superdrug Mask on for around 20 minutes and tissuing off, my skin felt lovely and soft. However, I did find it left a slight residue behind and made my makeup, foundation especially, ball up which was extremely annoying, especially before heading out when I didn't have time to remove it and start again. Since using it, I find swiping over with a toner helps, but sort of defeats the object of using a moisture mask.

Although this Superdrug Moisture Mask is extremely cheap in comparison to the Origins mask that I use, I can't say I'll be purchasing this one again. Sorry Superdrug! When it comes to skincare, I really do think you get what you pay for, unless it is from a cheaper brand linked with a larger brand i.e. L'Oreal and Lancome (Lancome is owned by L'Oreal).
