MAC Pressed Pigment Blonde Streak

For my birthday, my friend bought me this MAC Pressed Pigment in Blonde Streak. Having never owned a MAC pressed pigment before, I had to do a bit of research as I wasn't too sure how to use it! MAC state that Pressed Pigments can be used wet or dry as a highlighter on the face and eyes.

Colourwise, Blonde Streak is a neutral silver based colour, perfect for highlighting and adding dimension. The texture of the pigment is very creamy and extremely soft. Using the colour dry results in minimal pigment (as you can see from the above photo) and lots of fallout all over your face! You end up looking like you belong on a Christmas tree!

I have found the best way to use this MAC pigment is with a damp brush as a highlighter in the corner of my eyes to brighten and under the arch of my eyebrow to lift which looks extremely effective. I have tried using it as a highlighter, but it's a tad too glittery for my liking. I think these pressed pigments would work extremely well too, with a mixing medium, helping them to adhere to your eye, limiting fall out.

Staying power really depends on how much you apply and whether you're using an eyeshadow primer. Without a primer and using dry, they don't last very long on the eye at all. Using them wet helps to prolong their longevity and using a primer helps even more so. Be aware though that you will end up with specks of glitter on your face during the day!

MAC Pressed Pigments are £17 and can be purchased online from MAC or from MAC shops.
