La Roche Posay Cicaplast Mains Barrier Repairing Cream*
Cicaplast Mains is a very thick, white cream and looks to have a slight gel texture, but without the lightness of a gel. Even though it's quick thick, it works into my hands well with very little rubbing, sinking in easily. It does leave a slight protective layer on my hands, but this isn't sticky or oily - you just know there's something on your hands which is great when your skin is as dry as mine!
After using the Barrier Repairing Cream from La Roche Posay for around three weeks, I have definitely noticed a difference to the moisture levels in my hands. They are less flakey, especially around my cuticles and my palms especially look more nourished and healthy. Before, my palms very dry, flaky and itchy because of the lack of moisture and my cuticles would constantly peel.
I prefer to use this hand cream at night because when I wake up, my damaged hands are replaced with gorgeous, soft hands! Then during the day, I use the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream which I find just a nourishing, but it has a lighter feel on my hands. You can read my review here on the Lipikar Hand Cream.
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Mains Barrier Repairing Cream can be bought from Escentuals where it is currently on offer for £5.50.
