I bought Bobbi Brown Crushed Plum Creamy Matte Lip Color after looking at swatches online, hoping that it would be a nice winter colour, which it certainly is.

Crushed Plum is a matte colour from the 'creamy matte lip color' range at Bobbi Brown. It is a brown toned, rich plum colour with a matte finish - hence the name. In order to wear this colour, my lips need to be prepped beforehand as it shows up my dry skin due to the fact it's a matte lipstick. It's also not overly hydrating, although it is very creamy, so a good lip balm is needed to add some moisture to your lips before applying it. It applies well, but needs to be paired with a good lip liner and I've found that application works best with a lip brush because of the dark colour.

Bobbi Brown Crushed Plum is definitely an autumn winter colour and looks gorgeous against my pale skin; the tone suits it perfectly, although I have to be having a brave day to wear it, so usually stick to using it in the evening as it really stands out against my skin and fair hair.

It lasts for a good 4 - 6 hours on my lips, although often needs touching up after food or drinks as with most lipsticks really. I'm really impressed with the lipstick, especially for a matte finish and would certainly like to try more from the creamy matte range. I do much prefer this lipstick to any from MAC and would say the quality in comparison is a lot better.
