Real Techniques Dupe | Real Techniques Dupe | Bobbi Brown Blush Brush | Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush
I'm sure everyone is sick of hearing/seeing these Real Technique Dupes at the moment! But, they are fantastic and such great value. The one on the left is not quite as dense as I would have hoped, I think it will splay quite a bit after a few uses, but the one of the right if excellent and very dense. The ones I brought are here. And their shop is here. They did take around 2-3 weeks to arrive, but for the price of £1.79 each and free packaging, you really can't complain!
I use the one on the left for blusher, or blending out my blush and I use the one on the right for my Smashbox Halo Powder or my MAC Mineralised Skin Finish.
This is my Bobbi Brown Blush Brush available to buy from John Lewis for £35. I love that this brush just picks up enough pigment to give my cheeks a nice glow. It works really well to blend my blush in as well, giving it a more natural finish, as I am known to be a little heavy handed with blusher!
This is my Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Brush available to buy from John Lewis for £29.50. This is my absolute favourite brush, ever. Almost £30 is a lot of money for a brush, but I am so pleased that I brought this because it's wonderful. I use it to put my foundation on with and my foundation looks and sits amazingly on my skin, it makes it easier to blend and it enables me to build up a medium to full coverage look with my Smashbox Studio Skin, MAC Prolong wear or Estee Lauder's Double wear (not that this needs much building up!). I have recommended this brush to so many of my friends because it's simply wonderful.

I wouldn't pay crazy prices for any kind of brush as I've proven to myself actually simple ones sometimes are best. I was using poundland ones for a while and I honestly can't fault a single one of them!

Yes, the more money you pay does not always equal better quality. The RT dupes are fantastic, I've also brought a few eyeshadow brushes from the same seller which are amazing too.

I adore Real Techniques brushes and MAC ones but I’ve never tried any Bobbi Brown brushes. Maybe I should. That Full Coverage brush is looking pretty good...

The full coverage brush is amazing, certainly worth the money. I haven't found a dupe like it anywhere on eBay or with cheaper brands.

Are those RT dupes, they look exactly like the RT brushes I almost thought they were them for a second, if I'm total honesty I've wanted to buy some of the Bobbi brown brushes for ages, there great quality and look like they last a long time too....I buy cheaper ones that need replacing more and when you add up the amount you spend replaced you could have bought one of these that will last you some years xx

I know, they're very good dupes and so cheap too! They certainly work on par with my MAC and Bobbi Brown brushes, although I haven't found a dupe for the BB full coverage brush anywhere. BB brushes are certainly worth investing in.

RT are my favorite set of brushes, along with MAC and Sigma.
ReplyDeleteI don't like spending too much on brushes because they're so many good dupes out there.

I'm thinking about getting some Bobbi Bornw brushes, but I need to have a feel of them before I buy them

Thanks for the intro to the RT brushes, off to have a look.
ReplyDeleteAs long as brushes do what you want and need them to do, then I dont really care whether they are dupes or really expensive brushes.
